Gare du Nord Paris :: 4/15/2009

In 1961, George arrived at Gare du Nord in Paris on a train on his first trip to Europe. Almost 50 years later he visits the same location where he arrived after he sailed into France on the famous Queen Elizabeth to embark on his world-changing journey. Listen to what George has to say about this world-class city today!

FREE BOOK OFFER NOW ::

For years there has been an agency dedicated to attacking so-called traditional missionaries, especially if they come from the U.S. They want you to give them all their money for native workers. For 5o years as an American I have been a missionary, including to India where I helped start a work that now has 2000 national workers. All over the world, and again this last two days in Romania, I have seen the fantastic long term impact and fruit from American missionaries. So this ongoing attack is by far one of the most ridiculous efforts going on in mission today. I speak of this in my book, Out of the Comfort Zone and will send a copy to anyone who emails me at: George@Verwer.OM.org.

Are 200 Million Indians Really Less-Than-Human? :: 12/1/2008

Have you heard of the terrible plight of a huge percentage of India’s population known as the Dalits? There are over 200 million of them in India alone, and according to Hinduism they are less than human, they are impure, and they don’t have souls. Who better to do the most despicable and backbreaking manual labor than these?

National Geographic has written a powerful article on the Dalits, the “untouchables,” and I hope you can follow this link to read more about their situation. The good news is that India has allowed organizations and individuals to speak out against the discrimination the Dalits are facing, so there are hundreds campaigning their cause in India and around the world. Please be one of these campaigners through prayer and action.

Blessings,

Austin (for George)

Amazing Website -Global Recordings Network! :: 11/6/2008

align=right>One of the most amazing websites for free resources to help equip you for global ministry is
globalrecordings.net
. This great website has hundreds of wonderful free audio resources dedicated to reaching the lost with the message of the gospel. There are a wide range of audio resources for you to use to reach your lost friends with the message of the gospel, including the Scriptures in many of the major language groups. It’s especially useful if you know or work with anyone who speaks a language different from yours.

There are still hundreds of people groups who have never had any contact with the gospel, and some of them may be right there in your neighborhood where you live. The task is still very large but the world is getting smaller, and these gospel presentations and Bible recordings help us cross the language barrier.

Why not find out what foreign languages are being spoken in the area where you live, and order or download some of these recordings to hand out to them. Please visit this site, and pass the information along to any friends who may benefit from it.

Blessings on behalf of George,

Austin (George’s current helper)
