Loved the book. One of my favorite quotes is "it is like a multi-layered dreamworld of insignificance expanding into nothingness." - J. Piper speaking about TV & video games in his book: Don't Waste Your Life.

A dangerous book, it challenges the Christian sterotype, it cuts to the bone, I have been redeemed for his pleasure, to reflect Him,I have come in contact with his mercy. I must decrease in order that he could increase, how awesome is our Lord,oh that he would show me the silliness of success in this life. Life is a vapor lived by the redeemed in a foreign land, brother's we are only passing through.

I recently finished pondering my way through this book. I am about to begin again with the study guide to plant it more deeply in my heart. This book is not for the faint of heart. If you do not turn away and put it back on the shelf, it will most likely be a catalyst of change in your life. It is not so much what the author says but where he says it from...the scriptures. Pastor John Piper has been gifted in unfolding the Word of God in a very helpful sound fashion. I give this book a MUST READ recommendation.
