Thank you for sharing about painful experience and your choice to embrace the pain rather than using it to build resentment. You reminded me of the Lord's Prayer, and how I once thought that the verse on forgiveness seemed to be a sneaky way of reminding me to forgive others, when I was asking forgiveness for my own sins. (Such uncharitable thoughts!) After reading your article, I think perhaps that portion was to remind me that as much as I struggle against my sins but grieve the Spirit, others are also struggling and also fail. And perhaps that portion of prayer is not so much as reminding me to forgive, or boasting that I've forgiven others, but to remember and pray for those who have wronged me? I am going through a season of pain now, when I'm only just realising how deeply I was hurt by someone I cared a lot for. So "embracing" for me also means coming to understand the wrong and the pain, for any healing to begin. For now, I can only say that He has given me a better appreciation for the comfort that can only come from Him.

This article on \"Embracing the Pain\" was such an encouragement I just had to say its a \"must read\" for others who have experienced pain in their life. I\'m convinced that it\'s the pain in our lives that draws us closer to God, and keeps us totally dependent on Him. God so loves us that He doesn\'t just allow pain in our lives, He goes through the pain with us and hurts with us...Oh what an awesome God we serve. Praise God for articles like this.
